2. Chapter 2: Player Registration and Team Formation

2.4. LEAGUES
         
The Lubbock Soccer Association shall be divided into two Groups (Boys and
          Girls). Each Group will be divided into seven (7) playing ages which will be referred
          to as LEAGUES. Each age shall comprise one league. Each league will offer play
          for youths aged as noted below. Each League will offer competition each season
          unless prohibited or otherwise undesirable based upon the number of available
          players. Individual League Commissioners will be responsible to the Group
          Commissioner (as appropriate) for the operation of their league.

        2.4.1. Age divisions shall be comprised of players who are, before the first day of
                 August of the immediately preceding soccer year,:

                 a) Under 19 years of age.
                
b) Under 16 years of age.
                
c) Under 14 years of age.
                
d) Under 12 years of age.
                
e) Under 10 years of age.
                  f
) Under 8 years of age.
                
g) Under 6 years of age.

        2.4.2. The soccer year begins September 1 and ends August 31 of the following
                 year. A player’s age on July 31 will determine what age division the player will
                 play in for all seasons beginning after August 1. (Example: a player who is 10
                 years old before August 1 will play in the Under 12 age division during the fall
                 season after that August 1 and during the next spring season.) Youths who
                 are four (4) years of age before January 1 of the current soccer year will be
                 permitted to participate in the Under-6 age division during the spring season.
