Academy League

A soccer academy program within an association focuses on providing a structured environment for players to develop their skills and understanding of the game beyond a recreational level. 

Here's a description of key aspects of such a program:

  • Target Audience: Typically aimed at players between 7U-10U (ages 7-10) who are eager to advance their game and potentially transition to more competitive youth soccer programs (like Select or Travel teams at U11 and above).

  • Focus on Development: The primary goal is individual player development, emphasizing technical skills (dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control), tactical understanding, physical fitness (speed, agility, endurance), and mental toughness.

  • Competitive Opportunities: Academy teams can participate in more competitive leagues and tournaments, providing opportunities to apply learned skills and gain experience against higher-level opposition. These competitions can also offer exposure to scouts and college recruiters.

    Pathway to Higher Levels: Successful academy programs often have established connections or pathways to higher levels of soccer. 

Key Points:

U7 to U10 only

Mostly play on Sunday mornings

U7 & U8 play 4v4 & U9 & U10 play 7v7

Will follow the rules as set for these age groups by Lubbock Soccer Association.

Coaches choose their own players for the team to bring in.

Individuals must sign forms, but we only accept teams!

This link needs to be sent to all players by the coach for the guardian to fill out: (this registers them to be able to pay the academy league) - this has to be done so that the coach can add the players to the team.

Once the players have done this, you then have coaches register their team with the link below and build their roster by choosing the players on their team. Each coach will need to have a login - 

  1.  Once logged in (or account created), you will type the team name in (no need to put in a club), then click search

  2. When a team is not found, you can create a new team name (Same-named teams will need to include the birth year of the oldest players and gender- F or M -  behind the team name), then click save.

  3. Then you can register your team. Once you get to the payment option, if you are paying for the entire year, please wait and let us know. We will put a credit in for $50 so that you are getting the discount.  

U7 - U8 $400 a season  or $750 for the year paid up front (Fall & Spring) 

U9 - U10 $600 a season or $1150 for the year paid up front (Fall & Spring)
